Math Camp
Brush up on your math skills and start moving ahead! This week-long intensive math program
incorporates fun elements of Wonder-Space Camp with math preparation for the upcoming
school year. Math CAN be fun, and it still is Summer after all. This is NOT about intensive math
drilling and preparation. It’s merely a refresher to help build confidence in campers as well as
warm-up campers minds in time for school!
Here are some quick facts.
Ages and Abilities
- For Campers rising grades 1-8
- All Campers are divided by grade level (upcoming Fall)
- Campers are in small groups of 5-8 depending on the grade level
- Since groups are small, instructors will have plenty of time for 1-to-1 interaction to
- adjust for students who are more advanced and those who need a little more help
- We also offer the ability for 1-to-1 tutoring sessions after camp ends
Activities
- Mornings involve review sessions and interactive lectures
- AM Activities include but are not limited to: drills, discussions, practice for multi-step
- problems, word problems, and basic math equations
- Afternoons focus on problem solving skills and math games
- PM activities include but are not limited to: team-based or individual puzzles, logic
- games, math explorations, and online/web interactive math activities
